What is the magic in the water?
Our process uses a gel-like medium to float the paint on...
It's a mixture of seaweed powder and water mixed together overnight to create our floating medium!
I use a blender-style carageenan powder mixed with water that sits overnight and I use it for 2 days before it no longer floats properly!
You can store in the fridge for a longer life. I accidently froze it, and it still worked! So you could experiment with that option!
Once mixed we are looking for a yellowish thick liquid. No bubbles. No chunks.
Once mixed it is referred to as SIZE.
It doesn't like heat, or sun!
Once you pour the Size into your tray...you will get bubbles. They can be skimmed to the edge and removed.
You will use newspaper to skim your surface of size.
That's the magic of the water for water marbling!!!
You can watch my tutorial on YouTube...it's a 2 part series that walks you thru all the steps with ticks and tips from me! How to water marble for beginners
